Art Student

So, the stereotype of an Art student is that they don't do much work, and that art is easy. The latter is false, however today I have fit the lazy stereotype to a T. Although I found some amazing artists and designers that I wish to share with you.

Danish fashion illustrator Naja offers dynamic ans interesting work which catches the eye and draws you in, with a simple colour palette and a vast array of patterns to please the eye.

A Danish duo who create advertising graphics for specific clientelle of other artists, such as the textile piece featured which was finally used as a CD cover for American solo artist Canon Blue

Go and listen to his stuff, his album Rumspringa is easy listening, whilst still being something new and interesting, moving away form the pop music we are inundating with in this age.

Day is a British photographer who's work really kicked off in the 90s and was still shooting for Vogue well in to the 00s. Her most well known imagery was of a young Kate Moss, shot in 1990 (seen above) which captured the raw beauty of the then very young model at the beginning of her career. The second image is of Moss in 1992.

A French film-make and photographer. I was particularly drawn to a film called "An Island" for its muted colours and how it was shot in an older style with grainy imagery and jerky motions.
